Larry Dean McDaniel started hairdressing at 18 in Huntington Beach, assisting a team of top salon hairdressers before legendary makeup artist Sharon Gault brought him to the David LaChapelle Photo Studio. There he trained under master hairdressers Clyde Haygood and Laurent Philippon, learning French technique, precise placement and proportion. Today he owns LDM Hair in West Hollywood, with 20+ years behind the chair and credits spanning music videos, film, television, editorial campaigns, world tours and red carpets. In 2025 he was honored by the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild for Best Hair Styling for Commercials & Music Videos. And he LOVES doing hair.

Cezanne formaldehyde-free keratin smoothing ($350) for 3 to 5 months of frizz control, safe on color. Elumen shine treatment ($200) for rich, glossy color.
Red Carpet + Formal Styling

Blow-dry $50, blow-dry with iron $75, formal styling $150. Red Carpet ($1,000) privately reserves the full salon for 3 hours of hair, wardrobe and makeup prep before your event.

Larry Dean McDaniel is the celebrity hairstylist and owner of LDM Hair, a private salon in West Hollywood serving West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood and greater Los Angeles.
